Location: Café 2 Twentyfour, BelmontHours: Casual, 20+ hours per week. Shifts are usually available on Tuesdays, Saturdays and Sundays, with additional shifts offered according to business needs.
We’re looking for a reliable and hardworking Cook / Kitchen Hand to join our café team. This is a hands-on role for someone who can help prepare and cook meals while keeping the kitchen clean, organised and running smoothly.
Key duties
- Prepare and cook menu items to the required standard
- Assist with food preparation, including washing, cutting and portioning ingredients
- Wash dishes, pots, utensils and kitchen equipment
- Clean and sanitise kitchen areas and work surfaces
- Follow food safety, hygiene and workplace safety procedures
- Help receive, store and rotate stock
- Work cooperatively with the kitchen and front-of-house team
What we’re looking for
- Previous café or kitchen experience is preferred
- A positive attitude and willingness to help where needed
- Reliability, punctuality and good teamwork
- Ability to work in a busy kitchen and follow instructions
- Availability on Tuesdays, Saturdays and Sundays is highly valued
- Food safety knowledge or a relevant certificate is an advantage
