Westside Yard Care is seeking a new member to our small crew of gardeners for an immediate start in Geelong.

We operate all around Geelong as well as the west side of Melbourne doing residential gardening, commercial landscape maintenance & landscaping. Our focus is on quality over quantity, aiming to provide our customers with an exceptional service they can rely on.

We are focusing on expanding in terms of location & personnel whilst we maintain our reputation as some of Geelong & Melbourne's most reliable gardeners. We maintain this reputation by being professional, communicative and knowledgable in regards to plants & our craft.

Who we are looking for:

- We are seeking a fun and enthusiastic individual who has leadership qualities and exceptional communication skills. The role is one that involves a degree of team leadership, so punctuality, reliability and interpersonal skills are paramount.
- Gardening experience which includes, but may not be limited to: lawn mowing/whipper-snipping, hedge trimming & pruning would be preferred but is not necessary. Supportive training will be offered throughout the induction as well as ongoing, however, an enthusiasm for growth and development within this role is paramount.
- The person we are looking to fill this role must have an interest in gardening,



have the ability to work well independently, must be a good communicator and willing to liase with clients as this is a position which will involve a lot of engagement between the team and with clients.
- You must be available Monday through Friday between 7am-3pm.

The position:

- You will be required to have a ute, van or other suitable work vehicle. We will provide reimbursements for its use when it is required.
- Work will be heavily based in Geelong but occasionally will be in the west side of Melbourne also.
- You will be operating a lawn mower, whipper snipper, hedge trimmer and other basic tools with the opportunity to learn to use some construction tools for landscape design, a chainsaw for arborist work and much more.
- Hours will start at ~25 per week for the first few weeks before transitioning to full-time hours.
- Rate of pay is according to casual award rates with the prospect to establish a salaried, full time position after the induction/training period. During this period, you will receive training and familiarise yourself with the role with the intention of transitioning into full time employment.

Pay: $32.00 – $44.69 per hour

Expected hours: 30.0 – 38.0 per week
