In this role, you will be the face of our business, handling everything from customer service to food preparation and barista duties. Customer Service & Front of House

- Greet customers warmly and take food and beverage orders accurately.
- Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system and handle cash/card transactions securely.
- Deliver food and drinks to tables efficiently with a friendly demeanour.
- Answer customer inquiries regarding menu options, daily specials, and dietary allergens.

2. Barista & Beverage Preparation

- Prepare and serve high-quality espresso beverages, teas, and other cold drinks to café standards.
- Calibrate grinders (dial-in) and texture milk flawlessly for various coffee styles.
- Maintain and clean coffee equipment, including flushing group heads and wiping steam wands.

3. Food Prep & Back of House

- Assist with basic food preparation, plating menu items, and carefully packing takeaway orders.
- Ensure strict compliance with food handling, hygiene, and safety regulations.
- Clear, wash, and sanitise dishes, cutlery, and kitchen utensils promptly.

4. Venue Maintenance & Stock Control

- Maintain cleanliness of the dining floor, service counters, and kitchen area.
- Monitor inventory levels, restock display fridges,



and replenish coffee station supplies.
- Collaborate closely with kitchen staff to streamline orders and handle peak rush hours smoothly.

Skills & Qualifications

- Experience: Previous experience as a barista or hospitality all-rounder is preferred but not required (on-the-job training provided).
- Barista Skills: Solid understanding of espresso extraction, milk steaming techniques, and machine maintenance.
- Communication: Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to build quick rapport with regulars.
- Stamina & Pace: Ability to stand for long periods and work efficiently under pressure during busy morning rushes.
- Compliance: Valid Food Handler Certificate (or willingness to obtain one); legal working rights in Australia.
