Household Manager | Private Residence
An excellent opportunity is available for an experienced, reliable and organised Household Manager to support a private family in their home.

This part-time position is ideal for someone with strong household management experience who can confidently oversee the day-to-day running of a home, maintain an organised and welcoming environment, and prepare authentic Indian meals for the family.

The successful candidate will be hands-on, proactive and capable of managing a broad range of household responsibilities independently. While cooking is an important part of the role, the primary focus is on overall household management, organisation and ensuring the smooth operation of the home.

Hours: Approximately 15–20 hours per week, with flexibility for the right candidate

About the Role
The Household Manager will be responsible for supporting the overall management and daily operations of the household, including meal preparation, general household duties, organisation and maintaining high standards throughout the home.

The ideal candidate will be comfortable balancing practical household tasks with planning, organisation and taking initiative to ensure the household runs efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
Overseeing the day-to-day running of the household and ensuring tasks are completed efficiently.
Maintaining an organised, tidy and well-presented home.
Managing household routines, priorities and daily tasks.
Monitoring household supplies and ensuring essential items are replenished as needed.
Assisting with household planning, organisation and general administration where required.
Identifying household needs and proactively taking initiative to address them.
Coordinating household tasks and ensuring the home operates smoothly.
Indian Cooking and Meal Preparation





Preparing fresh, authentic Indian meals for the family:
Demonstrating strong knowledge of traditional Indian cuisine, ingredients, flavours and cooking techniques.
Cooking a variety of Indian dishes, including curries, vegetables, rice, breads and other traditional meals.
Planning menus and suggesting meals suited to the family’s preferences and dietary requirements.
Managing ingredient preparation and ensuring meals are ready at the agreed times.
Maintaining high standards of food hygiene and safe food handling.
Keeping the kitchen clean and organised before, during and after meal preparation.

General Household Duties:
Undertaking general cleaning and tidying to maintain a clean and comfortable home.
Keeping kitchens, living areas and other household spaces organised.
Managing laundry and linen care as required.
Assisting with other day-to-day household tasks to support the family.
Maintaining appropriate standards of cleanliness, presentation and organisation throughout the home.
Household Supplies and Coordination

Preparing grocery and household shopping lists.
Monitoring pantry, kitchen and household supplies.
Ensuring ingredients and household products are stored appropriately.
Assisting with coordinating household requirements and communicating any issues or upcoming needs to the family.

The successful candidate will have:
Previous experience in a Household Manager, Housekeeper, Private Household Assistant or similar role.




Demonstrated experience managing a range of household responsibilities beyond cooking alone.
Strong experience preparing authentic Indian cuisine, ideally within a private household.
Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
The ability to manage competing priorities and work efficiently.
A proactive approach, with the confidence to work independently and take initiative.
Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining a well-organised home.
The ability to plan and coordinate household tasks and oversee daily routines.
Excellent communication skills and a professional, discreet and trustworthy manner.
A flexible and adaptable approach to meeting the family’s needs.
High standards of cleanliness, kitchen hygiene and safe food handling.
