WIllunga Child Care Centre is a family-owned and operated early childhood education service that has been proudly supporting local families since 1998.
We are a small, welcoming centre committed to providing a protected, nurturing and engaging learning environment where children can grow, explore and develop.
We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Childcare Trainee to join our friendly team on a full-time basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about working with children who wishes to begin a rewarding career in early childhood education while completing their Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist qualified educators in providing a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment for children.
- Support the implementation of daily educational programs and age-appropriate learning activities.
- Supervise and engage with children during indoor and outdoor play.
- Assist with children’s daily routines, including mealtimes, rest periods, toileting and personal hygiene.
- Help maintain a clean, organised and safe learning environment.
- Build positive and respectful relationships with children, families and fellow educators.
- Observe children’s learning and development under the guidance of qualified educators.
- Follow centre policies, procedures and child safety requirements.
- Participate in team meetings, professional development and training.
- Work towards successfully completing a Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care.
Requirements
- A genuine passion for working with young children.
- Willingness to enrol in and complete a Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
- Reliability, punctuality and a strong work ethic.
- A valid Working With Children Check (WWCC), or willingness to obtain one before commencing child-related work.
- Ability to work full-time hours.
No previous childcare experience is required. We welcome applicants who are eager to learn and develop their skills.
