About the Business

Our Client, MK MANNAT PTY LTD, trading as Shehnaz Beauty Plus, is seeking a qualified and experienced Beauty Therapist to join its team at Bridgeman Downs, Queensland. The successful candidate will provide professional beauty treatments, maintain high standards of hygiene and client care, and contribute to the effective operation of the salon.

Key Responsibilities

- Consult with clients to assess their skin conditions, beauty requirements, treatment preferences and suitability for particular beauty services.
- Examine clients' skin and recommend appropriate facial treatments, skincare products and beauty procedures based on their individual needs.
- Cleanse, exfoliate, massage and treat facial skin using appropriate skincare products, techniques and equipment.
- Perform facial treatments, including skin cleansing, facial massage, masks and other specialised skincare procedures.
- Provide waxing and other hair removal treatments, ensuring client comfort and appropriate hygiene practices.
- Shape and maintain eyebrows and perform eyelash and eyebrow tinting where required and appropriately trained.
- Perform manicures, pedicures and other nail care services where these form part of the salon's service offerings.
- Advise clients on suitable skincare products, beauty treatments and aftercare procedures to maintain treatment results.
- Maintain client consultation records, treatment histories, appointments and relevant service information.




- Prepare treatment rooms and workstations, clean and sanitise equipment, and maintain appropriate hygiene and infection-control standards.
- Operate beauty therapy equipment safely and in accordance with operating instructions and applicable workplace procedures.
- Monitor beauty product and consumable stock levels, assist with ordering supplies and ensure products are stored appropriately.
- Explain treatment procedures, potential reactions, contraindications and aftercare requirements to clients before and after services.
- Maintain professional client relationships, respond to enquiries and address customer concerns in a courteous and timely manner.
- Follow workplace health and safety requirements, salon procedures and relevant standards applicable to beauty therapy services.

Qualifications and Experience

Applicants must hold one of the following qualifications:

- AQF Certificate III, including at least two years of on-the-job training; or
- AQF Certificate IV.

The successful applicant should have relevant knowledge of beauty therapy treatments, skincare procedures, client consultation, hygiene and sanitation practices, and the safe use of beauty therapy equipment.

Relevant practical experience in a beauty salon or similar environment, together with valuable communication, customer service and interpersonal skills, is desirable.
