Bathroom Showroom Sales & Customer Service Assistant (Part-Time)

Working Hours: 2–3 days per week, approximately 9am–4pm

About the Role

Joinery by Bears is a Brisbane-based bathroom furniture business specialising in bathroom vanities, stone tops, mirror cabinets and accessories.

We are looking for an experienced Customer Service & Sales Assistant to join our small team in Crestmead.

This role is ideal for someone with previous experience in bathroomware, kitchen cabinetry, tiles, plumbing supplies, furniture showrooms or the home renovation industry.

The position primarily involves customer service, showroom sales, order processing and sales administration, with some digital marketing and general business support.

Main Responsibilities

- Respond to customer enquiries professionally via phone, email and online chat.
- Assist customers with product selection, including sizes, colours, finishes, stone tops and accessories.
- Welcome showroom visitors and provide knowledgeable product advice.
- Prepare quotations, process customer orders and follow up on sales enquiries.
- Handle customer complaints, delivery enquiries and after-sales support professionally.
- Check product specifications, stock availability and order details.
- Coordinate customer deliveries and warehouse collections.
- Update website product listings, descriptions, pricing and stock information.
- Assist with Canva designs, Facebook and Instagram content, promotions and blog writing.
- Provide occasional light warehouse support, including stock checking, product photography and dispatch coordination.

Essential Requirements

- Minimum 2 years of experience in customer service,



showroom sales or sales administration.
- Previous experience in bathroomware, kitchen cabinetry, tiles, plumbing supplies, building products or a closely related industry is strongly preferred.
- Excellent spoken and written English, with confidence handling customer phone calls independently.
- Proven ability to respond to customer enquiries and write clear, professional emails.
- Confident dealing with customer complaints and resolving everyday issues calmly.
- Solid computer skills, including email, spreadsheets and online systems.
- Excellent attention to detail when preparing quotations and processing orders.
- Reliable, organised, proactive and able to work independently after training.
- Comfortable working in a small team and assisting with different tasks when needed.

Highly Regarded

- Experience with WooCommerce, WordPress or online order management systems.
- Canva, Instagram, Facebook or basic digital marketing experience.
- Knowledge of bathroom renovations, cabinetry specifications, measurements and finishes.
- Experience dealing with builders, tradespeople and renovation customers.

Working Arrangements

- Part-time, approximately 2–3 days per week.
- Regular daytime working hours, approximately 9am–4pm.
- Flexibility to work an occasional Saturday half-day would be appreciated.
- Availability during the Christmas and New Year period is highly regarded.
- Hourly rate based on relevant experience, plus superannuation and applicable entitlements.

Pay: $27.00 – $32.00 per hour

Expected hours: 16.0 – 24.0 per week
