About the Role
Hunter Eye Surgeons (Cross Eyes Pty Limited) is seeking an experienced and motivated ophthalmic professional to join our specialist team. Applicants must have a minimum of three years’ ophthalmology experience and be confident in patient screening, advanced diagnostic testing, and clinical procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct patient screening, medical history taking, and subjective refraction.
- Perform Fluorescein Fundus Angiography (FFA) and venepuncture.
- Operate specialised ophthalmic equipment, including OCT, visual field analyser, IOL Master, MAIA microperimetry, Clarus imaging system, and tonometer.
- Assist with intravitreal injections and minor ophthalmic procedures.
- Maintain accurate clinical records and uphold infection control and patient safety standards.
- Manage patient flow and travel between clinic locations.
Essential Requirements
- Minimum three years’ experience working in an ophthalmology clinic.
- Successful completion of venepuncture and cannulation training is mandatory.
- Competency in FFA and subjective refraction.
- Experience operating advanced ophthalmic diagnostic equipment.
- Relevant Diploma or Advanced Certificate in Health, Medical Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong clinical, communication, and organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently and travel between clinic locations.
