AZF Investments Pty Ltd, trading under the business name Urban Edge SA, was established in 2019 and specialises in residential building and property development. Its projects include custom-designed homes, single- and double-storey houses, multi-dwelling developments, land subdivisions, knock-down and rebuild projects, renovations, extensions and Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) under the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS). The company also provides all carpentry and joinery services, as well as decks and pergolas and current flooring.

Urban Edge SA is seeking an experienced Carpenter to undertake carpentry work for residential construction, renovation and extension projects. The role involves constructing, installing, renovating and repairing residential structures and fixtures in accordance with building plans and project specifications.

Key Responsibilities

l Read and interpret building plans and specifications to determine carpentry requirements, dimensions and construction methods.

l Measure, mark out, cut and shape timber and other construction materials to the required dimensions.

l Construct and erect timber wall frames, roof frames and other structural components for residential buildings.





l Install sub-flooring and timber floorboards, ensuring proper alignment, stability and fit.

l Fit and install door and window frames, fascia boards and other residential building fixtures.

l Construct, install and repair timber decks, pergolas and other external timber structures.

l Carry out carpentry work for residential renovations and extensions, including modifying and repairing existing timber structures.

l Inspect completed carpentry work, identify defects and make necessary adjustments and repairs.

l Select and use appropriate timber, materials, hand tools and power tools to complete carpentry tasks.

Key Requirements:

l At least three years of relevant carpentry work experience.

l Experience in carpentry work for residential construction, renovation and extension projects.

l Ability to measure, cut, shape and install timber and other construction materials in accordance with project specifications.

l Proficiency in using carpentry tools and equipment, such as circular saws, power drills, nail guns, hammers, chisels, spirit levels and measuring tapes.·

Pay: $80,000.00 – $85,000.00 per year
