About the Role

We are seeking a reliable, experienced and highly organised Accounts & Collections Officer to assist with customer payment collections, outstanding accounts and vehicle-related payments.

We are looking for someone with a strong background in accounts receivable, debt collection and financial administration, preferably within the automotive, truck sales or dealership industry.

This role is ideal for a confident professional who can manage payment follow-ups, communicate effectively with customers and maintain accurate financial records.

Key Responsibilities

•⁠ ⁠Follow up with customers regarding outstanding vehicle and truck payments.

•⁠ ⁠Monitor accounts receivable and ensure payments are collected on time.

•⁠ ⁠Contact customers professionally by phone and email regarding overdue balances.

•⁠ ⁠Track vehicle deposits, outstanding balances and final payments.

•⁠ ⁠Reconcile incoming payments against invoices and customer accounts.

•⁠ ⁠Maintain accurate records of payments received, outstanding debts and customer communications.

•⁠ ⁠Coordinate with the sales and finance teams to resolve payment discrepancies.

•⁠ ⁠Prepare regular reports on outstanding accounts, overdue payments and collection progress.

•⁠ ⁠Identify payment delays and escalate unresolved accounts to management.

•⁠ ⁠Assist with general accounts administration and payment-related enquiries.

Requirements





•⁠ ⁠Previous experience in accounts receivable, collections, bookkeeping or financial administration.

•⁠ ⁠Strong understanding of invoicing, payment reconciliation and customer account management.

•⁠ ⁠Experience in the automotive, trucking or dealership industry is highly regarded.

•⁠ ⁠Excellent communication and professional phone manner.

•⁠ ⁠Confident following up overdue payments while maintaining positive customer relationships.

•⁠ ⁠Strong attention to detail, organisation and time management.

•⁠ ⁠Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets.

•⁠ ⁠Must be based in Australia and available to work during Australian business hours.
