Floor Staff / Front of House (Monday – Friday, 11:00 AM – 4:15 PM)

Sushi on Fire is a busy, high-energy sushi restaurant dedicated to serving fresh, delicious food with welcoming, attentive customer service. We are looking for a reliable, hardworking Floor Staff member to join our front-of-house team for consistent weekday day shifts.

Shift Schedule & Availability

- Days: Monday to Friday
- Hours: 11:00 AM – 4:15 PM
- Job Type: Casual / Part-Time

What You'll Do

- Lunch Rush Floor Service: Welcome arriving guests warmly, seat them promptly, assist with ordering, and deliver drinks and hot food items efficiently during peak lunch trade.
- Table Turnover & Dining Cleanliness: Clear empty plates and bowls, wipe down and sanitize tables and counter seating quickly between guests, and ensure the dining floor remains spotless.
- Quiet Time Support (Dishwashing & Lids): During slower periods between the lunch rush and late afternoon, actively assist with washing sushi plate lids, running the commercial dishwasher, and restocking clean items for the sushi line and floor.
- POS & Bill Settlement: Accurately process customer payments at the register, handling both card and cash transactions.
- Afternoon Prep & Restocking: Replenish front-of-house amenities for the evening crew—refill soy sauce cruets, restock ginger, wasabi, chopsticks, takeaway containers, and keep drink fridges fully loaded.




- Team Communication: Work smoothly with the kitchen team regarding customer requests, dietary needs, and takeaway orders.

What We’re Looking For

- Availability: Available consistently Monday through Friday from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
- Proactive Work Ethic: Fast on your feet during busy lunch rushes, and self-driven to help wash dishes and lids during quieter afternoon hours.
- Customer Focus: Friendly, polite attitude with clear English communication skills.
- Punctuality & Reliability: Dependable, punctual, and ready to work set weekday shifts.
- Experience: Previous hospitality, waitstaff, or retail customer service experience is preferred, but energetic individuals eager to learn are encouraged to apply.
