Business Manager - Employment Services (Ex-Offender Program)

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Business Manager to lead and support a team delivering employment services across the Somerset region.

This position plays a key leadership role within an Ex-Offender Employment Program, managing multiple sites and fostering a positive, high-performing culture that supports both staff and participants to achieve outstanding outcomes.

Working closely with the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for driving performance, ensuring contractual compliance, developing strong stakeholder relationships, and delivering quality services that exceed key performance indicators.

This is a full time fixed-term opportunity until 30 June 2027, with the potential for extension, based in Caboolture.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead, coach and develop Employment Consultants and Work Support Consultants to achieve sustainable employment outcomes.
- Drive team performance across multiple sites, ensuring placement targets, service quality standards and KPIs are consistently achieved.
- Oversee day-to-day service delivery, workflow management and customer experience.
- Ensure compliance with all contractual and employment services requirements, including audits, quality standards and reporting obligations.
- Manage financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting and profitability targets.
- Recruit, onboard and develop new employees while managing performance through coaching and regular reviews.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with employers, community organisations,



government representatives and other key stakeholders.
- Foster a positive and supportive team culture focused on continuous improvement and participant success.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

Essential Experience & Skills

- Previous leadership or management experience within employment services, workforce development, community services or a related sector.
- Proven ability to lead, coach and develop high-performing teams.
- Strong understanding of KPI-driven environments and performance management.
- Experience managing stakeholder relationships across government, community and employer networks.
- Demonstrated ability to oversee compliance, quality assurance and contractual requirements.
- Financial management experience, including budgeting and forecasting.
- Excellent communication, organisational and problem-solving skills.

Essential Requirements

- Current unrestricted Driver's Licence.
- Ability to obtain a National Police Check.
- Ability to obtain a Working with Children Check / Blue Card.
