About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled, reliable, and experienced Wall and Floor Tiler to join our team on a full-time basis.

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing surfaces, laying and installing various types of wall and floor tiles, and completing tiling work across residential and commercial construction projects. This role requires strong technical knowledge, precision, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

Key Responsibilities:

- Examine plans, measure surfaces, and determine the quantities of tiles and materials required for each project.
- Prepare wall and floor surfaces by cleaning, levelling, and removing old tiles, adhesives, and other materials.
- Carry out surface preparation, including screeding and applying suitable substrates to achieve the required finish.
- Set out tiling layouts, establish reference lines, and ensure correct alignment, spacing, and patterns.
- Measure, mark, cut, and shape ceramic, porcelain, stone, and other tiles using appropriate hand and power tools.
- Apply adhesives, mortar, and other bonding materials to prepared surfaces.
- Lay and install wall and floor tiles accurately in accordance with plans and specifications.
- Install tiles around corners, edges, fixtures,



pipes, and other obstructions.
- Apply grout, sealants, and finishing materials to tiled surfaces.
- Undertake waterproofing work where appropriately qualified and authorised, ensuring compliance with applicable standards and requirements.
- Inspect completed tiling work to ensure quality, durability, alignment, and consistency.
- Repair, replace, and maintain existing tiled surfaces as required.
- Coordinate with supervisors, builders, and other trades to ensure projects are completed efficiently and on schedule.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a protected and organised condition.
- Comply with relevant Australian building standards, workplace health and safety regulations, and company procedures.

Skills and Experience:

- Demonstrated at least three (3) years’ work experience in wall and floor tiling within residential or commercial construction.
- Strong knowledge of tiling materials, adhesives, grout, surface preparation, and installation techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, plans, and specifications.
- Proficiency in measuring, cutting, laying, and finishing various types of tiles.
- Sound understanding of Australian construction standards and tiling practices.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and effectively within a team.
- Current driver's licence.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe and productive working environment.

Pay: $80,000.00 – $85,000.00 per year
