Willunga Child Care Centre & Preschool is a family-owned and operated early childhood education service that has been proudly serving the local community since 2000.

Our centre provides a warm, welcoming and supportive environment where children are encouraged to learn, explore and develop through meaningful educational experiences.

We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Certificate III or Diploma Qualified Childcare Educator to join our team on a full time basis.

We are looking for an educator who is passionate about early childhood education, enjoys working collaboratively and is committed to providing high-quality care and education for young children.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide high-quality education and care in accordance with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Standard (NQS).
- Plan, implement and evaluate engaging, age-appropriate learning experiences that support children’s development.
- Observe, document and assess children’s learning and developmental progress.
- Support the development and implementation of individual learning goals and educational programs.
- Establish positive, respectful and meaningful relationships with children, families and colleagues.
- Maintain a safe, inclusive and nurturing learning environment.
- Supervise children effectively and ensure their health, safety and wellbeing at all times.
- Assist with daily routines, including mealtimes, rest periods, hygiene and transitions.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with regulatory requirements.
- Follow centre policies, procedures, child protection requirements and relevant legislation.
- Contribute to the centre’s Quality Improvement Plan (QIP) and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Work collaboratively with the Centre Director and fellow educators to maintain high standards of care and education.

Essential Requirements





- Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (or an ACECQA-approved equivalent qualification).
- Valid Working With Children Check (WWCC).
- Sound understanding of the EYLF and NQS.
- Knowledge of child development and age-appropriate educational practices.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to build positive relationships with children and families.
- A professional, reliable and caring attitude.
- Commitment to child safety, wellbeing and inclusive education.
- Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis qualifications, or willingness to obtain them as required for the role.

Highly Regarded

- Previous experience working in a long day care or preschool environment.
- Experience in educational programming, observations and documentation.
- Ability to work independently and contribute positively to a small team.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills.
