Guraya Transport Pty Ltd Guraya Transport Pty Ltd is seeking a dependable and safety-conscious Truck Driver to join its team in Seville Grove, Western Australia. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting general freight, machinery and other cargo in accordance with delivery schedules, customer requirements and road transport regulations. The role involves operating heavy vehicles, securing loads, inspecting vehicles before and after trips, and ensuring goods are delivered safely and on time.

The Truck Driver will work closely with dispatch staff and customers to coordinate deliveries, maintain transport records and report any issues that may affect delivery schedules or vehicle safety. The ideal candidate will have relevant heavy vehicle driving experience, good knowledge of road safety requirements and a responsible approach to handling vehicles and cargo. Task & responsibilities Operate heavy trucks to transport general freight, machinery and other cargo to designated destinations. Plan and follow suitable routes, taking into account delivery schedules,



road conditions and vehicle restrictions.

Position vehicles safely for loading and unloading at warehouses, customer premises and delivery sites. Check cargo, distribute loads appropriately and secure goods using suitable restraint equipment to prevent movement or damage during transit. Conduct routine vehicle inspections, including checks of tyres, brakes, lights and other essential components.

Report mechanical faults, vehicle defects and maintenance requirements to the appropriate personnel. Maintain accurate trip sheets, delivery records, consignment notes and other required transport documentation. Follow road traffic laws, heavy vehicle regulations, fatigue management requirements and workplace health and safety procedures.

Communicate with dispatch staff and customers regarding delivery progress, delays, route changes and other transport issues. Verify deliveries against accompanying documentation and report damaged, missing or incorrectly delivered goods. Maintain the cleanliness and protected operating condition of the vehicle and associated equipment.

Qualification & experience AQF Certificate II or III in Driving operations, Transport and Logistics, or a related field Hold a current Australian heavy vehicle driver's licence appropriate to the vehicle being operated, such as HR or HC , where applicable. Have relevant experience of minimum 1-3 years in truck driving,



freight transportation or commercial transport operations. Understand road transport regulations, load restraint procedures, vehicle weight limits and heavy vehicle safety requirements.

Be able to perform routine vehicle inspections and identify faults that require attention. Demonstrate the ability to follow delivery instructions, maintain accurate records and meet scheduled delivery requirements. Possess good communication, time management and organisational skills.

Be able to work independently while maintaining effective communication with dispatch staff and other team members.
