Senior Nurse Manager – Registered Nurse
Remote / Work From Home (location not specific to Hobart) | 0.8 FTE | 32 Hours per Week
Are you an experienced Registered Nurse ready to take the next step into senior leadership?
Are you passionate about developing nurses, building strong teams and creating the systems that allow exceptional patient care to happen?
Would you like the flexibility of working predominantly from home, while remaining connected to clinical practice and travelling across Australia to support our nursing teams and growing clinic network?
If you are an experienced, solutions-focused nurse leader who loves developing people and improving the way things work, this could be the opportunity for you.
About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Nurse Manager to join the Earworx leadership team in a permanent part time capacity of 32 hours per week (0.8 FTE / four days per week).
This is a predominantly work-from-home role, with semi-frequent interstate travel required to support our clinics and nursing teams nationally.
Reporting directly to the Earworx Chief Operating Officer, you will play a pivotal role in leading and developing our Nurse Managers, Registered Nurses and supporting the effective day-to-day operation of the Earworx clinic network. You will oversee key areas including nursing leadership, our team of registered nurses across the country, recruitment, rostering and clinic coverage, leave management, training, the appointment calendar and payroll coordination.
Importantly, this isn't a leadership role where you simply manage from a distance. We are looking for someone who enjoys coaching people, solving problems, improving systems, making decisions and helping others become exceptional leaders themselves.
What You'll Be Doing
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading, mentoring and developing our Nurse Manager team, helping them achieve their goals and build their own leadership capability.
- Supporting Nurse Managers to ensure Registered Nurses, Trainers and Mentors are working effectively within Earworx systems and expectations.
- Supporting our clinicians across the country.
- Assisting with coordination, and set up, of any recent or existing clinics
- Leading the recruitment, selection and onboarding of Registered Nurses and other approved roles in partnership with the COO.
- Coordinating leave, rosters and clinic coverage across the network, including the effective use of travel nurses where appropriate.
- Working closely with our National Business Manager to support an accurate appointment calendar and payroll.
- Acting as a senior point of escalation for operational matters,
resolving issues at the appropriate level and providing the COO with clear recommendations when escalation is required.
- Coordinating training for new and existing team members alongside our Trainers and Nurse Managers.
- Supporting the opening and expansion of Earworx clinics through workforce planning, recruitment, rostering, clinic set-up and training.
- Identifying operational and clinical risks and contributing to the development and review of policies and SOPs.
- Supporting organisational reporting, OKRs, data analysis and special projects.
- Continuing to strengthen clinical quality, patient outcomes and the leadership capability of our nursing team.
- Bringing forward ideas and solutions that improve patient care, team capability, operational efficiency and business growth.
- Coordinating and supporting new initiatives and all facets of the business
About You
You are an experienced and confident Registered Nurse who genuinely enjoys leading people and helping them succeed.
You're approachable and personable, but you're also comfortable having accountable conversations, providing feedback, making decisions and working through complex operational issues.
You'll bring:
- Current, unrestricted AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
- Demonstrated experience leading Registered Nurses, including people management, coaching and performance development.
- Experience with rostering and workforce coordination, ideally across multiple locations.
- A sound understanding of business operations and HR practices, including recruitment, onboarding, leave management, payroll processes and employment obligations.
- Excellent communication, organisation and time-management skills.
- The ability to prioritise competing demands and make considered decisions under pressure.
- A solutions-focused mindset and the confidence to take ownership of issues through to resolution.
- Flexibility and an appetite for working within a growing and evolving organisation.
- A genuine growth mindset. You welcome feedback, reflect on your own leadership and continually look for opportunities to improve.
Previous experience in microsuction and curettage is desirable but not essential. If you don't already have this clinical skill, you will complete Earworx training.

What We Offer
This is an opportunity to move beyond traditional shift-based nursing and build your career in clinical and operational leadership.
You'll receive:
- Permanent part-time employment, 0.8 FTE / 32 hours per week
- Four-day working week
- Predominantly work-from-home position
- In-house mentoring from the Chief Operating Officer
- Access to leadership coaching valued at approximately $5,000 per annum
- Extensive Earworx clinical training if you don't already have microsuction and curettage experience
- Complimentary Earworx procedures for immediate family members
- The opportunity to influence and support a growing national nursing organisation.
Interstate travel forms an important part of the position, enabling you to remain connected with our nurses, Nurse Managers and clinics across Australia. The position description also requires flexibility around work and travel where operational circumstances require it.
Is This Your Next Step?
If you're a strong nurse leader who loves people, accountability, clinical excellence and getting things done, we'd love to hear from you.
This role would suit someone who wants to use their nursing experience differently: developing other nurses, strengthening clinical leadership, solving operational challenges and helping shape the next stage of Earworx's growth.
