A little different from our usual wheelhouse, we’re excited to be partnering on this Senior Financial Accountant prospect within a leading financial services business.

Reporting to the Finance Manager, the role will provide critical support across financial reporting, governance and compliance, with responsibility for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of the general ledger and balance sheet.

The role will take ownership of key month-end activities including journals, accruals and balance sheet reconciliations, while supporting monthly management reporting, year-end financial statements and external audit requirements. There will also be meaningful exposure to tax compliance, including GST and BAS preparation, FBT calculations and annual returns,



payroll tax lodgements and associated reconciliations. Beyond core reporting, the successful candidate will contribute to cash flow forecasting, financial analysis, systems enhancement, process automation and the ongoing improvement of financial controls.

The ideal candidate will have approximately 4-7 years of relevant accounting experience and a degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline, with CA/CPA qualification or progress toward qualification preferred. Strong technical accounting capability, advanced Excel skills and experience working with financial systems are required. Prior exposure to GST, FBT and payroll tax compliance will be highly regarded, alongside demonstrated experience across month-end close, balance sheet reconciliations, financial reporting and audit support.
