Grain Processing Plant Operator | Full time Position Available

PB Seeds is a successful, family-operated agribusiness located in Kalkee, approximately 13km from Horsham in Western Victoria.

Specialising in the processing, cleaning and packaging of grains and pulses for domestic and international markets, we pride ourselves on delivering quality products while maintaining a supportive, team-oriented workplace.

We are seeking a reliable, motivated and hands-on Grain Processing Plant Operator to join our growing production team.

This is a great prospect for someone who enjoys practical work, operating machinery and being part of a small, hardworking team. Whether you have experience in agriculture, grain handling or manufacturing, or are looking to develop your skills in the industry, we encourage you to apply.

Key responsibilities include:

1. Operating and assisting with grain cleaning, processing and packaging equipment.

2. Receiving, unloading, transferring and dispatching grain and pulses.

3. Loading and unloading trucks and shipping containers.

4. Assisting with weighbridge operations and stock movements.

5. Grain inspection, sampling and quality testing.

6. Operating forklifts, trucks and other plant equipment where appropriately licensed and trained.

7.



Monitoring equipment performance and assisting with routine cleaning and maintenance.

8. Completing production, quality assurance and traceability documentation.

9. Following food safety, hygiene and workplace health and safety procedures.

10. Working collaboratively with the production team to meet daily schedules and customer requirements.

The following experience or qualifications would be highly regarded but are not essential:

1. Grain handling, agricultural or manufacturing experience.

2. Forklift or heavy vehicle licences.

3. Experience operating processing plant or bulk handling equipment.

4. Fumigation or Authorised Officer accreditation.

5. Knowledge of food safety or quality assurance systems.

Training and opportunities to obtain additional licences and certifications will be provided where required.
