We are seeking experienced RMOs & Registrars (PGY4+) with General AHPRA registration who have a solid foundation in the care of medical and surgical patients, and are looking for work in a supportive, low-acuity private hospital environment.

Located in Bundoora, Melbourne, the hospital is conveniently situated near the M80 Metropolitan Ring Road, providing easy access from Melbourne's northern and western suburbs, including approximately 30–35 minutes from Sunshine and the inner west, depending on traffic.

The Role:

Casual or part time opportunities available, immediate start.

2200-0700 shift, 7 nights a week. No minimum shift requirement.

You will be the sole on-site medical officer overnight, providing care to a varied inpatient population of approximately 40–80 patients, depending on surgical activity and weekend day leave.

The hospital's clinical services include:

- Adult surgical patients, including general, orthopaedic and ENT

- Low-acuity private inpatient psychiatry

- Obstetrics and gynaecology, with approximately 430 births annually

- A small paediatric inpatient population, including surgical patients

Your responsibilities will include routine ward HMO/Registrar medical duties, assessment and initial management of acute clinical issues, and escalation to treating VMOs.

You will work alongside supportive senior nursing coordinators and experienced nursing staff, with on-call obstetric, paediatric and anaesthetic specialist cover.

About You:

- PGY4+





- General AHPRA registration (Mandatory Requirement)*

- Demonstrated excellent clinical acumen and sound clinical judgement

- High standard of verbal and written communication skills

- ALS training (Mandatory Requirement)

- PALS training desirable, or willingness to obtain for ongoing work

- Medical indemnity insurance with appropriate private hospital cover

- Up-to-date vaccinations, including COVID-19

- Able to provide two referees and willing to undertake hospital accreditation

- All valid Australian work rights accepted
