No cooking experience required

VIVE Cooking School is seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join our friendly team in Rosebery. This is a wide-ranging, hands-on role supporting cooking classes through kitchen cleaning, class setup, and customer service. Full training is provided.

Key Responsibilities
Assist instructors during lessons (demonstrations, oven timers, student support with equipment)
Welcome and assist students, creating a friendly and inclusive atmosphere
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and classroom
Help with stock control and grocery runs as needed
Support setup and pack-down of events and workshops
Prepare equipment and workstations before classes
Assist chefs and instructors during classes (behind the scenes)
Greet customers and provide a warm, friendly welcome
Serve beverages to class participants
Please note: cooking is not required for this role._

About You
Passion for food and cooking (formal training is a plus, but not essential)
Robust organizational skills and attention to detail
Friendly, approachable, and customer-focused attitude
Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure
Adaptable availability,



including evenings and weekends
Previous hospitality or kitchen experience is preferred
Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team

Availability
Classes typically run Wednesday to Sunday :
Occasional Monday or Tuesday shifts
Day, evening, and weekend shifts available
Hours vary week to week

Requirements (preferred)
Unrestricted Australian work rights
Valid RSA certification
Fluent English (spoken and written)
