Fraternity Sports Club is an exciting new addition to the Fraternity Club family, bringing renewed energy to the region’s dining and social scene.

La Taverna, the clubs newly rebranded Mediterranean-style bistro, has already made a strong impression with its fresh menu and welcoming atmosphere. As the venue grows, we are expanding our kitchen team to meet increasing demand.

We are now seeking a casual Chef to join La Taverna. If you’re passionate about quality food, teamwork, and being part of a growing venue, we would love to hear from you.

Duties and Responsibilities
Prepare meals on various stations in the kitchen including grill, pans and pass, ensuring quality and consistency across all products
Assist with food preparation, service and cleaning during busy service periods
Comply with WHS regulations, HACCP processes, and procedures regarding food safety
Inspect and maintain supplies, equipment, and work areas for cleanliness and functionality




Opportunities to work in other kitchens at other venue to expand skills and knowledge

Skills and Experience
Previous experience in a busy kitchen
Ability to work efficiently and multi-task during service
Robust knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
Reliable, positive and team-focused attitude
Flexibility to work nights, weekends and public holidays
Relevant cookery qualifications (Cert III or equivalent) highly regarded
Experience with Mediterranean, Italian, modern Australian or wood-fired pizza is advantageous
