About the role

The Interim Financial Controller is responsible for managing the day-to-day financial operations at the College. This role involves overseeing the finance staff team, maintaining financial administration and reporting systems, and liaising with senior management.

Key responsibilities
Manage the day-to-day financial operations at the College
Maintain financial administration and reporting systems including the general ledger
Supervise finance staff, delegating tasks effectively
Monitor cash flow and working capital
Prepare government grant applications and monitor their receipt
Review and oversee payroll processing and accounting
Prepare monthly financial statements and departmental budget reports




Liaise with auditors during the College's financial audit.

Skills & experience
Proven experience in financial management and reporting within an educational or similar setting
Solid capability in managing finance teams and fostering positive relationships with stakeholders
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with senior management and external constituents
CA or CPA membership is required
High level of digital literacy, including advanced use of Microsoft Office.
