We are currently seeking a

confident and experienced Trades Assistant

to join a busy installation team in Penrith.

This role would suit someone who is

hands-on, reliable and able to work independently , with experience using both hand and power tools. You will assist with the installation of

balustrades, handrails and other associated products , working from plans and following installation requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Assist with the installation of balustrades, handrails and associated structures

Use a range of

hand and power tools

safely and confidently

Read and interpret

plans, drawings and measurements

Measure, mark out and prepare materials for installation

Work alongside tradespeople while also being able to work independently

Ensure installations are completed accurately and to a high standard

Maintain a safe, clean and organised work area

Follow all workplace health and safety procedures





Carry out other general trades assistance duties as required

About You The successful candidate will have:

Previous experience as a

Trades Assistant or similar hands‑on role

Experience using hand and power tools

The ability to

read and understand plans/drawings

Experience or knowledge of

balustrade, handrail or similar installations

highly regarded

Robust attention to detail and pride in your work

The confidence to work independently with minimal supervision

A reliable and positive attitude

Positive physical fitness and the ability to work in a hands‑on environment

A strong commitment to workplace safety

Requirements

White Card - essential

Previous experience with hand and power tools

Ability to read plans

Reliable transport to Penrith

Ability to work Monday to Friday, starting at

7:00am

Flexibility to work overtime when required
