Environ Metal Designs is seeking a reliable Factory Hand and Saw Operator to join our Keysborough fabrication team. The role involves accurately measuring and cutting aluminium components using a Brobo cold saw, along with assisting with general workshop duties.

We manufacture planter boxes, window shrouds, sunshades, balustrades and other custom aluminium systems for construction projects across Australia.

About the role

Primary responsibility will be reading cutting lists and manufacturing drawings, measuring and cutting aluminium components using a Brobo cold saw and assisting the team with general workshop duties, material preparation, and product quality checks.

Key responsibilities
Receive and sort material, measure, mark and cut aluminium components using a Brobo cold saw
Label, organise and prepare cut materials for fabricators
Identify and report incorrect dimensions, damaged materials or quality concerns
Assist product quality checks
Assist with drilling, deburring, grinding and product preparation
Assist the fabrication team with other general workshop duties when required
Follow company procedures,

About you

You will be a valuable fit for this role if you:
Have previous experience in a factory, workshop, manufacturing or metal fabrication workplace
Can confidently use measuring tools and check dimensions accurately
Can confidently operate power tools
Are reliable, punctual and comfortable working as part of a production team
Are physically fit and capable of handling aluminium components and completing practical workshop tasks
Have valid Australian working rights

What we offer
Casual position starting rate of $33.50 per hour plus super
Consistent working hours
Early finish on Fridays
Training in fabrication drawings, cutting and quality processes as part of architectural aluminium systems manufacturing
Contemporary workshop and equipment

Working hours

Monday to Thursday: 7:00 am to 3:30 pm

Friday: 7:00 am to 1:00 pm
