We are seeking a passionate and energetic Barista and Cafe Allrounder to join the team at Twenty One Days Cafe.
This is a casual position based in Glenroy VIC ****.
As a Barista and Cafe Allrounder, you will be the face of our cafe, delivering exceptional customer service whilst preparing high-quality beverages and food items.
This role is fundamental to creating a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring every guest leaves satisfied with their experience at our establishment.What you'll be doingPrepare and serve a variety of specialty coffee drinks, espresso-based beverages and other hot and cold drinks to a high standardTake customer orders accurately and efficiently, providing recommendations and responding to specific requestsOperate and maintain cafe equipment including espresso machines, grinders, steamers and other brewing apparatusPrepare light food items, snacks and pastries for service in accordance with cafe standards and health regulationsMaintain a clean, hygienic and well-organised work station and cafe environment at all timesProcess payments accurately using the point-of-sale system and handle cash responsiblyProvide attentive and friendly customer service, building rapport and ensuring positive customer interactionsSupport with general cafe duties including restocking supplies, managing inventory and clearing tablesCollaborate effectively with team members during busy service periods to ensure smooth operationsWhat we're looking forPrevious experience working as a barista or in a cafe environment is highly desirableStrong knowledge of coffee preparation techniques, coffee bean varieties and espresso-based drinksExcellent customer service skills with a friendly, professional and approachable demeanourAbility to work efficiently under pressure during peak service timesAttention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of hygiene and presentationPhysical capability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasksReliable,
