We are seeking a dedicated Dispensary Technician to join the team at Budgewoi Discount Drug Store.
This is a part-time position based in Budgewoi, NSW ****.
As a Dispensary Technician, you will play a crucial role in our pharmacy operations, supporting the delivery of effective and accurate pharmaceutical services to our community.
You will work closely with our pharmacists and healthcare team to ensure the safe preparation and dispensing of medications, contributing directly to the health and wellbeing of our customers.What you'll be doingPreparing and dispensing medications under the supervision of a registered pharmacist, ensuring accuracy and safetyManaging and maintaining inventory of pharmaceutical stock, including ordering, receiving and organising medicationsOperating pharmacy dispensing systems and computer software to process prescriptions efficientlyProviding customer service by responding to enquiries and explaining medication usage and side effects to patientsLabelling medications accurately with patient information, dosage instructions and expiry datesMaintaining cleanliness and organisation of the dispensary work area and equipmentAssisting with the receipt and filing of prescriptions from doctors and healthcare providersSupporting stock control procedures and conducting regular stock checksFollowing all health and safety regulations and pharmacy industry standardsContributing to the overall efficiency of the pharmacy by supporting team members as neededWhat we're looking forA relevant qualification or certification as a Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacy Assistant, or equivalent training recognised in AustraliaProven experience working in a pharmacy or healthcare setting is highly desirableProficiency with pharmacy dispensing software and electronic systemsStrong attention to detail and accuracy,



particularly when handling medicationsExcellent organisational and time-management skills to manage multiple tasks efficientlyGood communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with patients, staff and healthcare professionalsA commitment to maintaining confidentiality and protecting patient privacy in accordance with relevant legislationThe ability to work collaboratively as part of a pharmacy teamA genuine interest in pharmaceutical care and customer serviceKnowledge of medication interactions and basic pharmaceutical principles is advantageousWhat we offerWe offer a welcoming and supportive work environment where your contribution is valued.
