Accounts Payable / Credit Control OfficerAlliance Distribution Services – Tuggerah NSWWe are seeking an experienced and motivated Accounts Payable / Credit Control Officer to join our growing team.
This is a hands-on role that requires a strong understanding of both accounts payable and debtor management, along with excellent communication skills and a customer-focused approach.The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining supplier relationships, managing customer accounts, and supporting the finance function through accurate and timely processing.Key ResponsibilitiesAccounts Payable· End-to-end processing of supplier invoices· Supplier statement reconciliations· Preparation and processing of payment runs· Managing supplier enquiries and resolving discrepancies· Ensuring accurate coding and allocation of expenses· Maintaining vendor records and compliance documentationCredit Control· Proactive collection of overdue customer accounts· Managing customer account enquiries and payment arrangements· Building strong relationships with customers to ensure timely payments· Reviewing credit limits and account statuses· Investigating and resolving account disputes· Maintaining accurate debtor records and reporting on aged receivablesGeneral Finance Support· Account reconciliations· Assisting with month-end processes· Data analysis and reporting· Supporting the finance team with ad hoc duties as requiredAbout YouTo be successful in this role, you will have:· Minimum 5 years' experience in Accounts Payable and/or Credit Control· Strong knowledge of accounts payable procedures and debtor management· Excellent telephone communication skills with confidence dealing directly with customers and suppliers· Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills· High level of accuracy and attention to detail· Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities· Intermediate to Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including functions, data analysis and reporting· Qualified and customer-focused approach· Strong organisational and problem-solving abilitiesWhat We Offer· Supportive and collaborative team environment· Ongoing training and development opportunitiesIf you are an experienced finance professional who enjoys building relationships, solving problems, and taking ownership of accounts payable and credit control functions, we would love to hear from you.Be careful - Don't provide your bank or credit card details when applying for jobs.
