DM Trellis & Irrigation is seeking a casual Laborer to join our team in the Shepperton area, VIC.
This is a hands-on position within the horticulture industry, focused on the installation, maintenance, and removal of hail netting systems that protect fruit orchards from weather damage.
This role is based in the Shepperton area, with some travel to be expected, where you will work directly with orchard infrastructure and netting systems.What you'll be doingInstalling hail netting systems on orchard structures according to specifications and safety standardsInspecting and maintaining existing netting installations to ensure optimal condition and coverageRepairing damaged netting and reinforcing weak points to maintain protective integrityRemoving and storing hail netting systems at the end of seasonal requirementsOperating and assisting with specialized equipment used in netting installation and removalCollaborating with team members to ensure efficient project completionAdhering to health and safety protocols and reporting any hazards or incidentsMaintaining tools and equipment in good working orderWhat we're looking forPhysical fitness and ability to work at heights and in outdoor conditionsAttention to detail and commitment to quality workmanshipPrevious experience in horticulture, agriculture,
