Due to current growth in business, we are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic tradesperson/trades assistant to join our growing team at Wetherill Park.

About the Role:

You could be cutting and preparing material for welding; assembling components and sub-assemblies, drilling/milling/machining or even doing some occasional welding.

What your current role will involve:
Operating hand tools and general workshop machinery like bandsaw, bench drill, linisher and angle grinder safely.
Sub-Assembly of components.
Preparing parts for fabrication as per drawing requirements.
Maintain housekeeping in workshop and help with packaging.
Comply with RISsafety WH&S; standards.
Some physical lifting of Aluminium extrusion materials up to 20Kg.
Opportunity to learn/perform some minor welding operations.

About You:




Trade qualifications (Fitter, Machinist, Welder) desirable BUT not essential.
High quality of workmanship and attention to detail.
Ability to understand and work to manufacturing drawings.
Maintain a clean and secure work area in compliance with company standards WHS / EMS and regulatory requirements
Valuable communication skills both written and verbal.
Willing to work to RIS business needs such as tight deadlines and supporting overtime when offered
