Sure Projects Australia specialises in the installation of floor and wall tiles as well as waterproofing application, working with Tier 1 builders, consultants, and suppliers across residential, commercial, and infrastructure projects in NSW.The Role:Sure Projects Australia is looking for a qualified Floor and Wall Tiler with sound knowledge of tile and angle installation across wet and dry areas.
The role covers the full sequence of the work: preparing substrates, applying screeds and setting falls to drainage, waterproofing wet areas, then laying ceramic, clay, slate, marble and glass tiles on internal and external walls and floors to provide protective and decorative finishes.
Caulking, sealing and compliance checks against relevant Australian Standards are part of the day-to-day.Tasks include:Setting out tiles from building plans, establishing reference lines and planning layout around penetrations, pipes and fittingsPreparing substrates by grinding, cleaning and priming, and removing old tiles, grout and adhesives both indoors and outdoorsMixing and applying sand-cement screeds and mortar beds,



setting falls to drainage points and floor wastesChecking falls, levels and grading to ensure correct drainage and complianceApplying waterproofing membranes to wet areas, reinforcing at junctions and achieving coverage to the required heightsCaulking and sealing junctions, movement joints and penetrationsWorking in the correct sequence across preparation, screeding, waterproofing and tilingLaying and setting tiles in correct positions and applying suitable adhesives onto prepared surfacesCutting and shaping tiles with the correct tools for specific jobs and surfacesGrouting once laid and removing excess grout, finishing to a high standardCarrying out compliance checks against relevant Australian StandardsAutonomously carrying out planned work in accordance with Occupational Health and Safety regulationsWhat we are looking for:Minimum 1 year experience in floor and wall tilingSound knowledge of tile installation and angle installationExperience preparing substrates, applying screeds and setting falls to drainageExperience waterproofing wet areas, caulking and sealing junctions and penetrationsSound knowledge of relevant Australian Standards for tiling and waterproofingUnderstanding of falls, drainage and wet-area compliance requirementsAbility to read and set out from building plansAbility to work well under pressure and as part of a teamAttention to detail and a commitment to high-quality finishesMust hold a current White CardFull-time, in office position with a 7:00 am start and 3:30 pm finish.
