We're looking for motivated, switched-on individuals who can work efficiently, take initiative and contribute positively to a productive and safety-focused team.About the RoleThe successful applicants will be experienced Civil Pipe Layers who are confident undertaking a range of underground pipe installation and civil construction works.Key responsibilities will include:Installing, laying and jointing PVC, PE and concrete pipes to required specifications, grades and alignmentsUndertaking stormwater, drainage and other underground pipe installation worksReading and interpreting civil construction plans, drawings, levels and set-outsUsing laser levels and other levelling equipment to ensure accurate pipe placement and gradientsPreparing trenches, bedding materials and pipe foundations in accordance with project specificationsAssisting excavator operators and other plant operators during trenching and pipe installation activitiesUndertaking backfilling, compaction and reinstatement worksUsing hand tools and construction equipment safely and efficientlyWorking safely around underground services, excavations and operating machineryWorking collaboratively with supervisors, machine operators and other crew members to achieve project outcomesMaintaining a strong focus on workplace health and safety, productivity and quality workmanshipWorking Monday to Friday,



with some Saturday work as requiredAbout YouTo be successful in this role, you will:Have proven experience working as a Pipe Layer within the civil construction industryBe confident installing and jointing PVC, PE and concrete pipe systemsHave experience working on stormwater, drainage and underground services projectsBe capable of reading and interpreting civil construction plans, drawings and specificationsBe confident using laser levels and working accurately to required grades and alignmentsHave a sound understanding of trench preparation, pipe bedding, backfilling and compaction requirementsHold a current Construction White CardBe physically fit and comfortable undertaking hands-on work outdoors in varying weather conditionsBe reliable, motivated and capable of working both independently and as part of a teamHave a robust work ethic and take pride in delivering quality workDemonstrate a commitment to workplace health and safetyHave your own reliable transportHold confined space training or certification - highly regardedHave experience working around underground services - highly regardedHold relevant plant or machinery operating tickets - highly regardedWhy Join JRT Group?
