Accounts Payable & Stock Control Assistant

We're looking for a detail-orientated person to join our friendly head office team in a full time Accounts Payable and Stock Control role.

About half your time will be spent supporting our Accounts Payable team: processing, checking and reconciling supplier accounts. The other half will be in Stock Control, working with product data, supplier price files and investigating discrepancies.

This is not a data entry role. You will need to be someone who can interpret information, spot when something doesn't look right, investigate why, and work out the right fix.

Key responsibilities
Processing and verifying supplier invoices
Reconciling supplier statements and investigating discrepancies
Maintaining accurate product, pricing and inventory information
Managing supplier price files, using Excel to compare and validate data




Investigating stock and product discrepancies
Answering phones, assisting with banking and providing general administration support across the business

What we're looking for
Established Excel skills, including XLOOKUP across multiple spreadsheets and sorting out data format inconsistencies
Solid attention to detail and a genuinely analytical, curious mindset
The ability to use your initiative and work autonomously, rather than just follow a checklist
Accounts payable, bookkeeping or finance administration experience (highly regarded)
Inventory, retail pricing or stock control experience (highly regarded, but not essential)
Confident, skilled communication with suppliers, customers and the team
