About the role
As an Internal Medicine Intern, you'll be involved in the day-to-day management of a diverse and interesting caseload within our busy multidisciplinary referral hospital.
Key responsibilities
Assisting with the care and management of hospitalised Internal Medicine patients
Supporting specialists and residents with consultations, diagnostic investigations and procedures
Gaining exposure to advanced diagnostics, including ultrasound, CT, MRI and endoscopy
Monitoring patients and ensuring they receive exceptional care throughout their hospital stay
Working closely with our nursing team and other hospital departments
Participating in case discussions and learning opportunities
About you
Hold a Bachelor of Veterinary Science (BVSc) or equivalent recognised veterinary qualification
Enthusiastic, motivated and genuinely keen to learn
Strong passion for patient care and take pride in providing the highest standard of care
Positive attitude and a good sense of humour to the workplace
Hardworking, reliable and willing to get involved wherever needed
Enjoy working as part of a team and supporting those around them
Open to feedback, eager to improve and excited to develop clinical skills
Interest in Internal Medicine and potentially pursuing further specialist training
