As we continue to grow, we are seeking an experienced Senior Environmental Advisor (Approvals) to join our Setting & Community team in Perth.
Reporting to the Principal Environmental Approvals, this role will play a critical part in securing and managing environmental approvals across the Westgold portfolio, ensuring projects and operational requirements are supported through robust approvals pathways and environmental compliance.About the RoleAs the Senior Environmental Advisor (Approvals), you will provide technical expertise and leadership in the development, coordination and management of environmental approvals across multiple projects and operations.
You will work closely with technical, operational and planning teams to identify approvals requirements, manage risks and ensure key environmental approvals are secured ahead of project delivery schedules.Preparing and coordinating environmental impact assessments and approvals documentationManaging environmental approvals across multiple projects and workstreamsSupporting approvals strategies and future approvals pathwaysIdentifying and mitigating environmental approvals risksLiaising with regulators, consultants and other external stakeholdersProviding technical advice and quality assurance to operational teamsCoordinating technical studies and specialist environmental inputsPreparing reports, schedules,



presentations and technical documentationMentoring and supporting environmental team membersContributing to engagement with Traditional Owners, regulators and local communitiesAbout YouTo be successful in this role, you will possess:Tertiary qualifications in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering or a related disciplineMinimum 5 years' experience in an environmental role within mining, industry or governmentDemonstrated experience preparing environmental approvals for submission to regulatory agenciesStrong knowledge of WA and Federal environmental legislation, including mining-related approvals frameworksExceptional technical writing and report preparation skillsStrong stakeholder engagement and communication skillsProven ability to manage multiple priorities and competing deadlinesSound analytical, problem-solving and risk management capabilitiesCurrent C Class Driver's LicenceHighly regarded: Experience with ArcGIS Pro, QGIS or similar GIS software.
