Maharaja Indian Restaurant is seeking a passionate, reliable and experienced Chef to join our team. With over 27 years of experience serving authentic North Indian cuisine, we pride ourselves on delivering high-quality food and excellent customer service. We are looking for someone who enjoys working in a rapid-paced kitchen, takes pride in their cooking and works well as part of a team.
Key responsibilities
Prepare and cook high-quality Indian dishes
Maintain consistency in food quality, taste and presentation
Assist with food preparation and daily kitchen operations
Ensure food safety, hygiene and cleanliness standards are maintained
Manage stock, ingredients and minimise food wastage
Work efficiently during busy service periods
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations
About you
Previous experience working as a Chef in a commercial kitchen
Experience with Indian cuisine is highly regarded
Valuable knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong time management and organisational skills
Reliable, hardworking and passionate about cooking
Availability to work evenings, weekends and public holidays
