About the role

As Chef / Cook at beachside Café, you'll help lead the day-to-day kitchen operation and create delicious, consistent food for locals, holidaymakers and regular café guests in a busy breakfast and lunch café located in South West Rocks, NSW, right opposite the beach.

Key responsibilities
Preparing and cooking breakfast and lunch service for a very busy coastal café
Delivering food that is fresh, generous and beautifully presented
Helping maintain a calm, organised and positive kitchen workplace
Managing preparation, stock control and ordering
Maintaining excellent food safety, hygiene and cleanliness standards
Reducing waste and supporting efficient kitchen operations
Working closely with front-of-house team
Sharing ideas for specials, seasonal dishes and menu improvements
Following NSW Food Safety Standards at all times

About you
Strong experience in a small fast paced café kitchen




Solid experience with breakfast and lunch service
A genuine love of fresh, quality food
Positive organisation, communication and time-management skills
The ability to work confidently both independently and as part of a team
A positive, hands-on attitude and a commitment to excellent customer experiences
Availability to work weekends as part of the roster
