There are full-time positions based in Beerwah, QLD **** and Hervey Bay QLD ****.
In this role, you will take on a strategic position within our accounting operations, managing complex bookkeeping functions and providing expert tax administration services.
You will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of financial record-keeping whilst ensuring compliance with Australian Taxation Office (ATO) requirements.
This position is integral to supporting our clients and maintaining the trust and integrity that Entegra is known for.What you'll be doingPreparing and lodging Business Activity Statements (BAS) on behalf of clients as a Registered BAS AgentManaging comprehensive bookkeeping services including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll processing and financial reconciliationsMaintaining accurate and up-to-date general ledger entries and ensuring all transactions are properly coded and classifiedPreparing monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports and statements for clientsConducting bank and credit card reconciliations and investigating discrepanciesAssisting clients with tax compliance matters and providing guidance on tax obligationsLiaising with ATO officials and addressing tax-related queries and auditsMentoring and supporting junior bookkeeping staffMaintaining accurate client records and ensuring data security and confidentialityIdentifying process improvements and implementing efficiencies in bookkeeping operationsWhat we're looking forCurrent registration as a BAS Agent with the Australian Taxation Office (essential requirement)Minimum 4+ years of professional bookkeeping experience in a similar roleDemonstrated expertise in BAS preparation and lodgementStrong knowledge of accounting software, including MYOB, Xero or similar platformsProficiency with Microsoft Excel and general office softwareSolid understanding of Australian tax legislation and compliance requirementsExcellent numerical accuracy and attention to detailStrong organisational and time management skills with ability to manage multiple clients and deadlinesExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamCertificate IV or higher qualification in Accounting & Bookkeeping or related field (preferred)Experience in a shared services or outsourced accounting environment (preferred)What we offerAt Entegra, we are committed to creating a workplace where our employees thrive.
