Location: Sydney
Salary: $200,000 - $220,000 + super and up to 50% bonus potential

Overview

Are you an experienced Design Manager with a robust background in leading Design process for data centres, or similarly complex, mission critical buildings?

We are seeking a highly motivated Design Managerto oversee multi-disciplinary design for new hyperscale data centre projects in Sydney and Melbourne.

Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage multi-disciplinary design process from concept through to construction and commissioning.
Appointing engineering and design consultants and vendors
Develop engineering and design briefs
Collaborate with project stakeholders, including architects, engineers, contractors, and client teams to ensure the design meets project objectives, timelines, and budgets.
Provide technical leadership and guidance to stakeholders, ensuring high-quality design solutions are implemented.
Review and approve design plans, specifications, and drawings.




Ensure compliance with all relevant local codes, industry standards, and sustainability practices.

Key Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in a Civil/Structural Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering discipline.
Proven experience as a Design Manager or similar role in large-scale, complex data centre (or projects of similar complexity and scale) construction projects
In-depth knowledge of both CSA & MEP Design. Preference is for robust structural knowledge/background, however civil or architectural grounding also considered.
Solid leadership and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders.
