Joinery Workshop Manager / Production ManagerXcel Group is establishing a recent commercial joinery manufacturing facility and is looking for an experienced Joinery Workshop Manager / Production Manager to take ownership of the operation and help build the division from the ground up.
This is a senior, hands‐on role suited to someone with strong commercial joinery experience who understands the complete manufacturing process — from estimating and shop drawings through to CNC production, workshop management and project delivery.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operation and development of the new joinery workshop.Key responsibilitiesPricing and estimating commercial joinery projectsReviewing architectural drawings,



specifications and project documentationPreparing accurate material and labour take-offsProducing detailed joinery shop drawings for client/architect approvalPreparing drawings and programs suitable for CNC manufacturingOperating and/or overseeing CNC machineryProgramming and optimising CNC production and nestingManaging projects from award through to manufacturingPlanning workshop production and schedulingCoordinating material procurement and hardwareAbout youTrade qualification in Cabinetmaking, Joinery or a related tradeStrong commercial joinery experiencePrevious workshop management, production management or senior supervisory experienceStrong estimating and project pricing capabilitiesAbility to read and interpret architectural and construction drawingsStrong shop drawing capabilityExperience with CAD/CAM and CNC manufacturing softwareStrong understanding of CNC machinery, tooling and manufacturing processesExperience with nesting and production optimisationStrong understanding of joinery materials, hardware and construction methodsAbout usXcel Group is establishing a new commercial joinery manufacturing facility in Western Sydney.
