Site Manager – sub 5MW Solar PV & BESS Projects (NSW)The Site Manager is responsible for the day-to-day management and coordination of construction activities for utility-scale Solar PV and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects across New South Wales.
The Site Manager will lead site execution from mobilisation and early works through civil, mechanical and electrical construction, testing, commissioning and project handover.
The role is responsible for ensuring works are delivered safely, on schedule, to the required quality standard and in accordance with approved designs, project specifications, contractual requirements and applicable Australian standards.Key responsibilitiesManage all day-to-day construction activities on site and coordinate civil, structural, mechanical and electrical subcontractorsDevelop and manage daily and weekly site work plans in accordance with the overall project programmeEnsure adequate labour, plant, equipment and materials are available to achieve construction targetsConduct daily site coordination meetings and pre-start meetingsMonitor subcontractor performance, productivity and workmanshipEnsure works are carried out in accordance with approved construction drawings, specifications, method statements and project requirementsManage site activities against the approved project construction programme and establish daily and weekly construction targetsCoordinate and supervise all site subcontractors and ensure they understand their scope, programme,



technical requirements and site rulesEnsure compliance with the Project HSE Management Plan and ensure workers and subcontractors comply with site safety requirementsEnsure construction complies with approved drawings, specifications and Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs)About youMandatory: Construction Industry White CardMandatory: Valid Australian Driver LicenceMandatory: Current First Aid and CPR certificationMandatory: Relevant construction, electrical, civil or engineering qualification, or substantial equivalent industry experienceMandatory: Robust understanding of WHS requirements applicable to construction projects in NSWHighly Desirable: Diploma or Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related disciplineHighly Desirable: Working at Heights certificationHighly Desirable: EWP certification/licenceMinimum 5 years' construction/site management experience, preferably within renewable energy, electrical infrastructure or utility constructionMinimum 2–3 years' experience on solar PV, BESS, substation or similar electrical infrastructure projects is highly desirableDemonstrated experience managing multiple subcontractors simultaneously and managing civil, mechanical and electrical construction interfacesStrong site leadership and construction management capabilityAbility to read and understand civil, structural and electrical drawingsStrong planning and programme management skillsGood understanding of construction HSE and quality requirementsStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work independently in regional and remote locationsBe careful - Don't provide your bank or credit card details when applying for jobs.
