Position Brief - Engineering Compliance OfficerAbout the teamThe Engineering, Design and Standards Branch is responsible for infrastructure engineering, design, survey, specifications, asset standards, electrical infrastructure and contributed assets across all customer and community facing infrastructure classes.About the roleWe are seeking an Engineering Compliance Officer to provide specialist technical expertise in the assessment, approval, and compliance of water, recycled water, and wastewater infrastructure.Key responsibilities include:Assess development applications and apply compliance conditions for water, recycled water, and wastewater servicesManage non-standard water and sewer connections, including live works, shutdowns, and bypass arrangementsReview and approve construction methodologies, QA documentation, commissioning, and As-Constructed dataConduct site inspections and resolve design or construction conflicts to ensure compliance with approvals and standardsProvide technical input into standards, products, and best-practice outcomes, working collaboratively across teamsWe're looking for people who have:Bachelor's degree of Civil or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent knowledgeSubstantial knowledge and/or experience in the design and construction of all facets of water and sewer assetsSubstantial knowledge of the SEQ D&C; Code and the requirements withinKnowledge and understanding of legislation and by-laws including: Workplace Health and Safety Act and relevant Code of Practice, Environmental Protection Act, Water Act ****Knowledge and understanding of the development planning and approval process, the conditions and their applicationKnowledge and experience using quality management systems, including ****, *****, HACCP and ****.Demonstrates a high level of interpersonal, negotiation,
