Role Description The Registered BAS Agent will manage end-to-end Business Activity Statement (BAS) preparation and lodgment for a portfolio of clients, ensuring compliance with Australian Taxation Office (ATO) requirements. Day-to-day duties include reviewing and reconciling bookkeeping records, verifying GST, PAYG, and other liabilities, and identifying discrepancies or process improvements. The role involves collaborating with clients to clarify business requirements, explain BAS outcomes, and provide guidance on best practices.



The Registered BAS Agent will also support the refinement of internal business processes, maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation, and document workflows and procedures. This is an in office role based in Greater Geelong, VIC.

Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Analytical Skills and experience in Business Analysis.
Candidates should possess transparent and professional Communication skills for client-facing work.
Candidates should possess the ability to understand and optimize Business Process and gather and interpret Business Requirements.
Current registration as a BAS Agent with the Tax Practitioners Board (TPB).
Relevant qualifications in bookkeeping, accounting, or a related field (e.g., Certificate IV in Bookkeeping or Accounting).
Proficiency with accounting and bookkeeping software (Xero).
Demonstrated knowledge of GST, PAYG, and Australian small business compliance requirements.
Strong attention to detail, integrity, and the ability to work independently in an on-site environment.
