As a Surf Instructor at Go Ride A Wave, you will be responsible for delivering engaging, safe, and effective surf lessons to students of varying abilities in the stunning waters of Noosa Heads.
This is an ideal opportunity for those passionate about surfing who want to share their expertise whilst enjoying flexible, casual work arrangements.
Your role will be integral to creating positive first experiences for newcomers to the sport and helping experienced surfers progress their abilities.Key responsibilitiesDelivering high-quality, engaging surf lessons to groups and individuals of all ages and ability levelsAssessing student skill levels and creating personalised lesson plans tailored to individual learning goals and progressionProviding clear, constructive feedback on technique, posture, and performance to help students improveEnsuring the safety of all students by conducting thorough safety briefings, monitoring water conditions,



and maintaining appropriate supervision at all timesSelecting appropriate equipment and ensuring all boards and gear are in good condition before lessonsMaintaining a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere that encourages students to enjoy the experience and return for further lessonsCommunicating effectively with students and the Go Ride A Wave team regarding lesson progress, scheduling, and any concernsAdhering to all health and safety protocols and company policiesContributing to the maintenance and organisation of lesson facilities and equipmentWhat we're looking forProven experience as a surf instructor or demonstrable expertise in surfing with formal instruction qualificationsA robust grasp of surf safety protocols and risk management in water environmentsExcellent communication skills and the ability to explain complex techniques in an easy-to-understand mannerPatience, enthusiasm, and a genuine passion for surfing and teaching othersPhysical fitness and the ability to demonstrate techniques and assist students in the waterA positive attitude, reliability, and flexibility with casual schedulingFirst Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain this qualification)Knowledge of local surf conditions, tides, and beach safety considerations in Noosa HeadsExperience working with diverse age groups and varying levels of ability is highly valuedWhat we offerGo Ride A Wave offers a rewarding casual working environment for passionate surf instructors.
