The opportunity
Our client is a well-established Australian distribution business in an exciting period of change. They’re looking for a hands-on Warehouse Manager to lead a multi-shift site in Brisbane and take real ownership of how it runs.

This is a genuine opportunity to shape a site: lift standards, build capability in your team and leave the operation in a stronger position than you found it. You’ll have the backing of senior leadership, a explicit mandate for change and plenty of room to make the role your own.

What you’ll be doing
Leading all day-to-day warehouse operations across receiving, storage, picking and dispatch
Building a high-performing, accountable team culture with clear expectations around safety, productivity and housekeeping
Coaching and developing supervisors and team leaders to lift leadership capability on the floor
Owning WHS compliance and driving a robust safety culture
Planning labour, managing budgets and monitoring KPIs including pick accuracy, service levels and costs
Partnering with sales, supply chain and other business leaders to deliver outstanding customer service
Driving practical continuous improvement initiatives and supporting stocktakes,



audits and system and process change

About you
Proven experience managing a warehouse or distribution operation across multiple shifts
A strong people leader who can build culture, set clear standards and bring people along
Background in a small to mid-sized business where you’ve been resourceful and built process yourself, without large specialist support teams
A solid understanding of WHS requirements and a genuine safety focus
Customer-service mindset and strong relationship-building skills
A pragmatic, roll-your-sleeves-up approach, with a “seek to understand” style when leading change
Experience in wide-range distribution, trade, wholesale or similar high-service environments is highly regarded, but we’re open on industry for the right leader
