The Opportunity

Our client is a well-established property group with a significant commercial property portfolio, Due to continued growth, they are seeking a Property Accountant to join their finance team in Brisbane.

This is an prospect to step into a broad, hands-on role where you’ll work closely with Property Managers, Leasing Managers and senior stakeholders while taking responsibility for the financial performance and reporting of a retail-focused property portfolio.

Key Responsibilities
Prepare monthly, quarterly and year-end financial reporting
Manage property accounting, reporting and reconciliations
Oversee tenant billings, receipting and rent roll reviews
Partner with Property Managers on reporting, budgeting and forecasting
Prepare annual budgets, outgoings estimates and outgoings reconciliations
Assist with audits, board reporting and ad hoc analysis
Support acquisitions, disposals and valuation processes as required

About You

To be successful in this role, you will bring:
Previous Property Accounting experience
Strong budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting skills




Experience interpreting leases and translating them into financial outcomes
High attention to detail and a proactive approach
Solid stakeholder management and communication skills
Advanced Excel skills
CA/CPA qualifications (completed or in progress) will be highly regarded
