Hays is partnering with an established, family-owned contractor delivering civil and commercial construction projects across Australia.
With a robust pipeline of repeat work across the electrical, renewables and infrastructure sectors, they are looking for an experienced Project Engineer to join their Brisbane-based team.
Your new role
Working within the project delivery team, you'll take ownership of the technical performance and quality requirements of civil projects from onboarding through to close-out.Key responsibilities include:
Managing QA and quality control across civil works
Reviewing engineering drawings, specifications and project requirements
Providing technical advice throughout project delivery
Managing RFIs, technical submittals, approvals and non-conformances
Assisting with procurement and preparing scopes of work
Coordinating subcontractors, suppliers and project resources
Supporting programming and project scheduling
Building solid relationships with clients, consultants and project teams
What you'll need to succeed
You'll be a technically strong Project Engineer with:
4+ years' post-graduate civil construction experience
Strong experience across FRP and earthworks




Exposure to roadworks and underground services
Experience managing civil QA and technical documentation
Strong ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications
Experience delivering work for utilities and/or Tier 1 contractors
Strong coordination, communication and problem-solving skills
Ability to undertake occasional regional and interstate site visits
Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or similar
