Full-Time Position
Como Sociale is a new Italian restaurant in the heart of Ballarat, and we are looking for an experienced and highly capableFront of House Managerto lead our FOH operations.
This is asenior management positionfor someone who has proven experience runninglarge, busy restaurants with 200+ guests per service.
We are looking for someone who understands that running a successful restaurant is about much more than looking after the floor.
You will be responsible for the overall business operation, team management, service standards, tills, administration and working closely with the kitchen and management team.
THIS ROLE IS FOR YOU IF YOU HAVE:
Proven experience as aRestaurant Manager / FOH Manager
Strong experience inItalian restaurants or similar premium dining environments
Experience managing busy services with200+ guests per service
Proven ability to lead and manage a large FOH team
Strong knowledge of restaurant operations from opening through to closing
Excellent knowledge ofPOS systems, tills, cash handling and daily reconciliation
Experience managing bookings, reservations and table allocations
Strong understanding ofFOH administration
Experience with stock control, ordering and supplier communication
Ability to work closely with the kitchen to ensure smooth service
Understanding ofbasic restaurant accounts, invoices, payments, wages and financial administration
Ability to monitor sales, labour costs and operational expenses
Experience with staff rosters, training and performance management
Strong understanding of hospitality compliance, food safety and RSA requirements
Ability to handle customer complaints professionally and confidently
Excellent communication and leadership skills
ADMIN & ACCOUNTS KNOWLEDGE IS ESSENTIAL
This is a particularly important part of the role.




The successful candidate must be comfortable with thebusiness and administrative side of restaurant operations, including:
Daily sales reconciliation
Cash handling and banking
POS/till reporting
Invoice checking and processing
Supplier accounts
Basic P&L; understanding
Labour and wage monitoring
Stock and cost control
End-of-day reporting
Staff timesheets and payroll information
General restaurant administration
Strong knowledge in these areas is compulsory.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead and manage the entire FOH team
Run smooth and efficient services
Ensure exceptional customer service standards
Manage busy sections and large bookings
Coordinate FOH and kitchen during service
Manage opening and closing procedures
Oversee POS, tills and cash reconciliation
Manage bookings and table plans
Prepare and manage staff rosters
Train, develop and motivate FOH staff
Monitor service quality and staff performance
Manage customer feedback and complaints
Maintain restaurant presentation, cleanliness and standards
Assist with stock, ordering and supplier management
Complete daily operational and administrative tasks
Work closely with the owners and management team on restaurant performance
