We are looking for a qualified PE teacher with a passion for, and experience in, teaching primary school aged children.
The successful candidate will plan and teach PE to all primary school students from P - 6, coordinate the sports carnivals and cultivate a love of physical education amongst our primary students.
This is a newly created position.
It provides a fantastic opportunity for the successful candidate to shape our primary PE program and lead primary school sporting events.
Key responsibilities
Creating a nurturing and ordered learning environment that is learner-centred, supportive, and aligned with relevant curriculum policies, documents and practices
Developing and implementing quality curriculum programs and appropriate pedagogy; evaluating their effectiveness; assessing and reporting student progress and learning outcomes; and reporting these to students, parents and the community
Coordinating sporting carnivals in the primary school
Working collaboratively with the leadership team, teachers and other staff members in contributing to the professional life of the school and fostering a positive school culture
Proactively engaging with professional learning to enhance student learning outcomes
Establishing positive relationships in the pastoral care of students and supporting their social and emotional development
Ensuring that the values of the college form a foundation for learning and teaching
