CN - Rockhampton - Community Mental Health
Rockhampton Hospital is seeking a Clinical Nurse to join its Community Mental Health team on a contract basis.
This is an opportunity to deliver mental health care in the community setting, working Monday to Friday day shifts across a 76-hour fortnightly schedule.
The role runs from as soon as possible through to 13 November ****, and requires a valid driver's licence to support home and clinic-based visits across the Rockhampton area.
Community-based mental health nursing with direct patient contact and clinical autonomy
Flexible contract role, ASAP start through to November ****, 76 hours per fortnight
Valid driver's licence required; 8-hour shift breaks built into the working pattern
Preferred Requirements
Demonstrated experience in community mental health nursing or a related mental health setting




Current driver's licence and reliable access to transport for community visits
Solid assessment and communication skills, with the ability to work independently in clients' homes and community spaces
Understanding of mental health conditions, treatment approaches, and recovery-focused care principles
Ability to manage complex caseloads and maintain detailed clinical documentation
Preferred Qualifications
Registered Nurse qualification with current AHPRA registration
Post-graduate qualification or demonstrated specialist experience in mental health nursing
Mental Health First Aid certification or equivalent mental health-specific training
