Yarranlea Limited is seeking a Maintenance Officer to join our team on a casual basis - 6 hours per week. Potential to move to a part-time role after probation period - 3 months. This role is based in Mount Gravatt, QLD 4122 and offers the flexibility of casual work whilst contributing to the upkeep and maintenance of our facilities and properties. As a Maintenance Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring our premises are maintained to the highest standards, addressing repairs and maintenance issues promptly, and supporting the smooth day-to-day operations of our organisation.

Key responsibilities
Perform routine maintenance tasks including repairs, servicing, and inspections of building systems, fixtures, and fittings
Respond to maintenance requests in a timely and qualified manner
Conduct preventative maintenance to identify and address potential issues before they become significant problems
Troubleshoot and repair equipment, appliances, and facilities as required
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and replacements
Ensure all work is completed safely and in accordance with relevant health and safety regulations
Maintain a clean and organised work setting and storage areas for tools and materials




Support the overall operations team to ensure facilities remain in optimal working condition

What we're looking for
Experience in maintenance and handyperson services or similar roles
Solid practical skills and knowledge of general maintenance, repairs, and building systems
Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment
Sound understanding of health and safety standards and compliance requirements
Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
Reliable, punctual, and professional approach to work
Good communication skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team
Current driver's license is desirable
Relevant qualifications or certifications in maintenance
Blue Card registered or ability to attain Blue Card
